Sergio J. Selvera is the newest member of the Gutierrez Law Firm team. Sergio is a native of Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and Texas Southern University Law School. He also attended a Graduate International Sports Law program at St. John’s University School of Law in New York.
Sergio represents individuals and families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, including motor vehicle and workplace accident cases.
In addition to personal injury law, Sergio has experience in the criminal and entertainment law. He has extensive experience dealing with entertainment transactions, record deals, option agreements, corporate sponsorships, venues, and live events. Sergio has represented clients at film, music and technology festivals and conferences.
The son of a schoolteacher and police officer, Sergio is also very passionate about his community. He has volunteered countless hours to various mentor, college outreach, and educational programs. Sergio has served on the Board of Directors for the City of Houston’s East Downtown Redevelopment Authority. He was a coordinator for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo “Go Tejano” Committee. He has been a legal panelist for the Houston Hispanic Forum. Sergio is a founding member of the Google Next Gen Policy Leader tech policy fellowship.
In his free time, Sergio enjoys spending time with his wife, Rita, and family, as well as his rescue dog, Rocky. He also loves to travel and the Houston Astros.”
